PREGNANCY HAPTONOMY

The period around childbirth is a special and exciting time. You may need to prepare for that one big moment. The birth of your child! Pregnancy haptonomy is about making contact with yourself and the baby in your belly.

This can be done together with your partner, but also if you are a single mother. Touching or being touched and seeing what is needed now and later. As a partner, or the person who is present at your delivery, it can be nice to get handles. How can you soften in your pelvic area? How does your partner support you now and during the delivery? How can you as a partner help your wife with catching the contractions? How do you maintain contact with the baby during the delivery? So also learn very practical positions for during the delivery. The guidance offers sufficient tools to go into the delivery with confidence.

Around the birth

Sometimes it can be nice to receive extra care in the last period of your pregnancy. Perhaps your baby is in breech position or it has been decided that a caesarean section is necessary. It may also be that you would like to receive treatment just before the birth or when the birth has just started. It may be that you get stuck during the birth and need presence or consultation. Or you are single and would like me to be there during your birth. Finally, it may be that you need care after the birth. Mastitis, uncertainty about your role as a father or mother, a child that is ill or a birth that was difficult. Feel free to contact me for the possibilities. The postpartum trajectory is also an option. That is two sessions, in which we look back on the birth. I am happy to come to your home and you are also welcome in the practice.

EXPERIENCES

Anna

I felt empty and cut off from myself after the birth of my first. Martine came to me in the first week after the birth. With a lot of peace and love she managed to reconnect me with my body. Somehow she managed to "finish" something that was not closed due to the unexpected caesarean section. It was an important step in my recovery. Martine also came to me after a few days during my second birth. My baby daughter fell asleep while I was lovingly touched by Martine. And I really needed that touch after yet another birth that did not go according to plan. I wish every woman who has just given birth a Martine!

Rianne

Eleven years ago I met Martine. Pregnant for the first time. I didn't want to learn to puff in a group. Just because my husband wasn't going to do that. My fear of giving birth was also a reason to go to Martine. 3 pregnancies and 3 times my husband came along. That in itself was a miracle. Martine breaks the ice. She just feels what is there, and knows how to turn "that" around. How? Humor, her radiant laugh, her inviting questions and by doing! Practical and informative, exactly what he needed. Because of Martine I also knew what I needed. I am so proud of us!
